It all started when Jeff (my audiophile brother-in-law) introduced me to his latest production: a home-made analog amp that he had just developed. Blown away by potential and sound, I immediately fantasized on the opportunity to create a design matching with the "authentic" and vintage spirit of this device. After many challenges, the idea has evolved into a real project, with the desire to create a Turntable + Amplifier analog set, whose main features would be a mechanical simplicity pushed to the extreme, in a pure audiophile spirit, translated by a singular design.

Tout a commencé lorsque Jeff (mon beau-frère) m'a présenté sa dernière réalisation : un ampli analogique “home made" qu'il venait de mettre au point. Bluffé par le potentiel et le son, j'ai tout de suite fantasmé sur l'opportunité de créer un design en phase avec l'esprit “authentique” et vintage de cet appareil. De fil en aiguille et après bien des remises en question, l'idée a évolué vers un vrai projet, avec l'envie de créer un ensemble Platine + Amplificateur analogiques assorti, dont les caractéristiques principales seraient une simplicité mécanique poussée à l'extrême, dans un pure esprit audiophile, traduit par un design singulier.

In the old traditional dialect of the alpine valleys of Mont-Blanc from which we come, Dré io means "straight to the summit". We just thought the idea was meaningful and inspiring for our brand, with a modern an technological-sounding name. An old term for a high tech project: in the middle!

En ancien dialecte traditionnel des vallées alpines du Mont-Blanc d'où nous sommes originaires, Dré io signifie “droit vers le sommet”. Nous avons juste trouvé l'idée pleine de sens pour notre marque, porteuse d'inspiration, de modernité et d'excellence. Un terme ancien pour un projet high tech : dans le mille !

A design inspired by the iconic and historical spirit of turntables with a mix of wood, aluminum, glass and plexi for a retro-modernist mix. A tribute to the vinyl decades and a distinctive element inspired by a "rock" icon: the counter-frame plate takes the form of a guitar pick. The Dreio signature!

Un design résolument inspiré par l'esprit iconique et historique de la platine disque avec un mix de bois, d'aluminium, de verre et de plexi pour un mélange rétro-moderniste. Un hommage aux années vinyle et un élément distinctif tout droit sorti de l'univers “rock” : la plaque du contre-châssis reprend la forme d'un médiator de guitare. La signature Dreio !
